PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This particular variety of chickpeas is called "la macarena", which is the most exquisite variety of chickpeas with a special feature of their large size and delicious flavor.
We come from Feneos of Korinthia and producer Spyros Goritsa.
Chickpeas are one of the best sources of plant protein equivalent to meat, milk and soy.
It may well replace the meat in our diet.
Chickpeas stand out from the other legumes for protein quality of 20% to 30% and contain all the essential amino acids needed by the human body, especially the amino acid methionine.
They are also a good source of carbohydrates in the range of 53% to 70% and are rich in starch.
Their high percentage of fiber is from 7.5% to 14%, which is mainly found in their skins.
Folic acid, calcium, magnesium iron, and plenty of vitamins such as A, B1, B2, B6, B12 and C make them a complete food that makes them ideal for preventing arteriosclerosis and lowering blood pressure.
