Seitan has ancient origins. In search of a protein-rich alternative to meat, Buddhist monks in ancient China developed this food by extracting gluten from wheat flour.
Inspired by this traditional Eastern recipe, Mediterranea Bio Veg reinterprets seitan using carefully selected, high-quality organic ingredients in perfectly balanced proportions.
Rich in protein, free from saturated fat and cholesterol, and entirely plant-based, it is an excellent alternative to meat for vegan and vegetarian diets.
