PRODUCT DESCRIPTION




The giant beans produced by Stergiou Sofia in the Prespes region are white in color and stand out from beans of other areas and countries due to their shape, size, brightness, and of course, their quality. They have a thin skin, cook easily (50 minutes boiling and 60 minutes to thicken), and have a distinctive flavor that comes from the unique microclimate and soil composition of the Prespes area. They can be cooked as a soup (fasolada) or as a salad (piaz).
The seeds are of local origin, and the cultivation is entirely traditional. They have high nutritional value, fully aligned with the principles of a healthy Mediterranean diet. They contain many nutrients and, in particular, provide our bodies with high-quality proteins without saturated fats.
They also contain starch, B-complex vitamins, magnesium, potassium, and other minerals. Their high fiber content helps improve bowel function and contributes to lowering cholesterol levels.

SPECIAL PRODUCT FEATURES
PreparationSoak in cold water for 8-10 hours. Rinse thoroughly and boil in water until tender. If desired, add salt toward the end of cooking. Consume only when cooked.
May containtraces of celery, cereals containing gluten, lupin, sulfur dioxide and sulfites, soy, mustard, milk, sesame, eggs, peanuts, nuts with shells and products thereof.
Keepin a cool and dry place.
